Queensbury senior Ben Jenkin became the first male Nordic skier in Queensbury history to capture two consecutive New York State Public High School Athletic Association individual championships at Lake Placid's Mount Van Hoevenberg on Monday, Feb. 26.

The only other boys to win  New York State individual Nordic ski championships in school history are Dave Miller (1977) and Aaron Newell (2011).

The next day, Jenkin teamed up with junior Patrick Eppedico-Cirillo and sophomore Alden Guay to claim first place in the NYSPHSAA Nordic relay championship. It's the first Spartan unit to take top relay honors since Lucas Jenkin (Ben's older brother), Nick Logan and Teddy Borgos accomplished the feat in 2020.

The Queensbury boys Nordic ski team brought home its fifth New York State championship.  (Queensbury also won in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2020.)

Queensbury freshman Hudson Montgomery became the third Spartan male in program history to earn first-place finishes in the giant slalom, slalom and combined categories in the NYSPHSAA Alpine championships at Wilmington's Whiteface Mountain.

He joins his brother, Hunter Montgomery (2019), and Ben Rapple (2004). Hudson's sister, Meredith Montgomery, became the only female Alpine skier in school history to place first in the slalom and combined back in 2022.
