With a time of 15 minutes and 32.5 seconds, Queensbury senior Liam Davidson finished third in the New York State Public High School Association (NYSPHSAA) Class B championship race on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Queensbury Union Free School District.
Davidson is one of just nine male runners in school history to place in the top 10 of a NYSPHSAA championship event. In addition, Davidson is only the third QHS boy to register back-to-back top-10 finishes, joining Jeff Dybas ‘87 and his current head coach, Matt Flint ‘08. Flint is the lone male Spartan to accomplish three consecutive top-10 placements.
Queensbury senior Nick Gileski crossed the finish line at the 16:46.8 mark to claim 44th place in the Class B boys race, while junior Ruby Janssen secured 74th in the Class B girls championship event with a 20:50.4 showing.
