Flyer about upcoming webinar about social media.

One of the biggest challenges of parenting today is moderating our kids’ use of technology. It can be a daily struggle over how much time is spent on phones, computers and video games.

Dr. Jennifer Bashant will offer a virtual workshop titled, “Social Media: When is Too Soon and How Much is Too Much?” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25.

During the webinar, parents will learn how the explosion of social media and the overload of information is creating a sense of loneliness and negatively affecting our children’s mental health.

“Our students utilize technology so much during the day. The more we can monitor and guide them on their social media journey, the safer and healthier they will be,” said Michael Brannigan, director of Social and Emotional Learning and School Development at Queensbury Union Free School District. “This series with Dr. Bashant will provide tools and strategies to help that effort.”
