Over spring recess, a group of Queensbury High School students traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland, London, England, and Normandy and Paris in France.

“The trip was an opportunity for the students to experience new cultures, history where it happened, and to see themselves as contributing members of a global community,” said QHS English teacher Beth Dennett.

The students visited Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the British Museum, the Tate Modern, the Globe Theatre and the Louvre. While in Normandy, the students learned about the D-Day invasion and participated in a wreath laying ceremony at the American Cemetery.

“Travel changes lives,” said QHS history teacher Kerry Rodriguez. “It deepens our understanding of the world and of each other. For me, it’s a powerful way to connect with students beyond the classroom as we explore new cultures, experience history firsthand, and grow together through shared discovery.”
