William H. Barton Intermediate School has been ranked as one of the best middle schools in the Capital Region, according to the U.S. News 2024 Best Elementary and Middle School Rankings released in November.

The WHBI ranked No. 198 out of 858 middle schools in all of New York State. The report also noted that WHBI students perform “well above expectations” in math. 

“Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school,” according to the report. 

Queensbury Middle School ranked No. 306 out of 858 middle schools in the state. QMS students also perform “well above expectations” in math, according to the report. 

Queensbury Elementary School ranked No. 553 out of 3,872 elementary schools in New York State.
