Tickets are now available online for the Queensbury Union Free School District Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 at The Queensbury Hotel, 88 Ridge St. in Glens Falls. Cocktails start at 5 p.m. 

The athletes being honored are part of the inaugural class being inducted into the new Hall of Fame created in 2023. The first group includes two teams of distinction and 41 individual honorees, including athletes, coaches, athletic directors and contributors. One half of the inaugural group was inducted during a ceremony in October of 2023. 

The group being inducted on Oct. 19, 2024 includes:  

  • 1997 Varsity Girls Cross Country (team of distinction)

  • William “Bill” Anderson, Jr. ’89 (contributor/athlete to be honored posthumously)

  • Julie Clark ’89 (athlete) 

  • Gary Crossman ’92 (athlete)

  • Kevin Crossman ’94 (athlete)

  • Heather Fiore DiBiase ’93 (athlete)

  • Jeffrey Dybas ’87 (athlete)

  • Joshua Etu ’99 (athlete)

  • Matthew Goetz ’87 (athlete)

  • Brendan Harris ’98 (athlete)

  • Caitlin Hickin ’00 (athlete)

  • Dr. Christine Nicholson ’89 (athlete)

  • Scott Paltrowitz ’00 (athlete)

  • Suzanne LaMere Seifert ’88 (athlete)

“It’s super exciting to bring this class in,” said Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon. “I had the opportunity to watch many of these athletes and coaches in action, and that’s very special to give this award to people you’ve watched over the years.” 

All the nominees graduated from Queensbury in 2000 or earlier and/or participated in athletics at QUFSD during the 20th century. 

“Last year’s ceremony was one of the highlights of my career,” said Richard Keys, Queensbury’s director of physical education, health and athletics, “being able to see all the prior Queensbury greats come back and demonstrate their enthusiasm for their experiences when they were here at Queensbury, and to hear about the things that they’ve gone on to accomplish and do during their adulthood. Hopefully that will continue to inspire our kids and our families today.”
