The Queensbury Union Free School District Board of Education intends to appoint Jillian Reilly to the position of director of student support services - elementary.

Reilly currently serves as the assistant director of student support services at Gloversville Enlarged School District, a position she has held since October of 2022. Before that, she was a literacy liaison and special education teacher at Cambridge Central School District.  

A Schuylerville native, Reilly has an associate’s degree from SUNY Adirondack, a Bachelor of Arts in k-12 special education and elementary education from The College of Saint Rose, and a master’s in literacy from SUNY Albany. She also holds advanced certificates from Buffalo State and SUNY Stony Brook. 

“I’m very excited to be in the Queensbury community and work with the students, staff and leadership team to continue to expand upon the educational opportunities for students,” Reilly said.

In her new position, Reilly will oversee all facets of student support services for kindergarten through grade 5, including programs, services, personnel and budget. She will supervise the committee on special education chairperson, special education teachers, student support services staff, paraprofessionals and other support staff at the Queensbury Elementary School and William H. Barton Intermediate School. 

Reilly will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery and continued improvement in the area of student support services and promoting the educational development of all students.

Reilly, who lives in Gansevoort with her husband and four children, will start in her new position on March 10.
