The Queensbury Union Free School District Board of Education intends to appoint Caitlin Vigliotti to the position of assistant principal at Queensbury Elementary School. 

Vigliotti comes to Queensbury from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District, where she worked as school psychologist and served as the chairperson of the committee on special education. She also served as summer school principal during both 2023 and 2024. 

She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with highest distinction from the University at Buffalo in 2007 and her master’s in June 2010. Vigliotti also has certificates of advanced study from The College of Saint Rose. 

In her new role, Vigliotti will assist Principal Jessica Rossetti with the administration of the educational program and supervision of staff. She will use her leadership and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student. 

“I’m really excited to have Caitlin work with our students, staff and community members at QES,” said Principal Jessica Rossetti. “She will bring a collaborative and supportive approach to the position to meet the needs of all our students.”

Vigliotti’s duties will include assisting the QES principal with administration of the educational program, including supervision and evaluation of staff. She will utilize her leadership and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student. She will also be responsible for instructional leadership, personnel and employee relations and community relations. 

“I’m so excited to be joining the QES family,” Vigliotti said. “I’m looking forward to working in partnership with the staff and meeting the students and families as well.” 

Vigliotti, who lives in Burnt Hills with her husband and two children, will start July 1.
