It was a night for the record books as the Spartans ice hockey team faced La Salle on Tuesday, Jan. 30. 

The Queensbury boys handed head coach Dean Williams victory No. 300 with a 5-0 victory. The only varsity ice hockey head coach Queensbury has ever known, Coach Williams has accrued a record of 300-207-25 (.587 winning percentage).

Jack Dickerson scored during a power play in the first period, marking the 2000th goal for the boys hockey program. Dickerson, Jacob Wolf and Brodie LaNoir all finished with one goal and one assist.

Tanner Fearman contributed one goal and three assists. His 34 assists this year tied a school record set by Kevin Valenti during the 2010-11 season.

Jacob Fanciullo earned his second career shutout with 18 stops and moved into seventh place on the school's all-time saves list.

The Spartans (12-3 overall, 10-1 CDHSHL) have now won seven consecutive contests and improved to 8-1 on home ice this year. This Friday, Feb. 2, Queensbury hosts Saranac in the 12th annual Pink the Rink game.
