Students of the Quarter stand with plaques.

Thirteen Queensbury High School students were named Students of the Quarter during a breakfast ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Student of the Quarter recognizes students for their character as well as their academic success.

Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon congratulated the students, whom he called “the elite of the elite.”

“This is why we do the job we do,” Gannon said. “We get a chance to see you exceed and excel.”

Principal Andrew Snide reminded the students that they are the top 1.3% of the student population.

“And it’s not just about grades,” Snide said, “but at the end of the day, I think it’s important to know that this is about character. It’s about who you are as a student, who you are as a leader.”
