Forty-four orchestra students from grades 6-12 represented Queensbury Union Free School District at the Saratoga-Warren County Music Educators Association (SWCMEA) All-County Orchestra and Jazz Festival held at the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School on Jan. 19 and 20, 2024.
“We are proud to see such a large number of our talented string students recognized for their musical accomplishments on such a high-level platform,” said orchestra teacher and Music Department Chair Gregory Verheyn.
These students rehearsed under the direction of notable guest conductors then performed with other high-level student musicians from surrounding school districts in Saratoga and Warren counties.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students," Verheyn said, "and it highlights the success of Queensbury's thriving music program.”
