Twelve students from Tabitha Alverson’s math class challenged themselves to memorize as many digits of Pi as they could and recited them on March 14, which is known as Pi Day, since the date is 3-14 like the first three digits of Pi.
Mason Bartone set a new seventh grade record of 181 digits! All participants earned mathlete tickets and official certificates for their efforts and perseverance. The top three students were awarded their favorite kind of pie!
