Students perform "The Wizard of Oz."

Queensbury High School Musical students presented a delightful stage adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz” at 7 p.m. March 14 and 15 and at 2 p.m. March 16 at the high school auditorium.

The musical production featured the iconic musical score from the 1939 MGM film that starred Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale in this timeless tale in which a Kansas farm girl is swept away by a tornado over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz.

Director Andrew Terry and musical director Matt Gaulin chose “The Wizard of Oz” to coincide with the 85th anniversary of the movie and the release of the popular “Wicked” movie.

This family friendly show featured about 50 Queensbury High School students, who performed on stage, worked behind the scenes, and played in the orchestra pit.
