The 2024 WHBI Drama Club production of "Stone Dragon Stew" will be performed three times this year on the QES stage. The show runs just under an hour and will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7 for family and community members. The performance will also be livestreamed. Second and third grade students will have an opportunity to see the play during school on Tuesday, March 5, and fourth and fifth grade students will see it during school on March 6. It is a charming and funny tale that conveys the values of sharing, community and friendship.


The QMS Ambassadors will host a Neon Night Dance for grades 7 and 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at Queensbury Middle School. Tickets for the event cost $5, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to WAIT House, a local charity that serves runaway or homeless youth.

QMS writing teacher Jamie Strait will be visiting QES to discuss and sign copies of her book, "Last Place Lexi." The book teaches kids to follow their dreams, remain resilient in the face of obstacles and believe in themselves while maintaining a positive attitude. Next visit is second grade on Jan. 18.

UPK Lottery is now open!
Ninety students will be chosen through a random lottery, which will be drawn on March 4, 2024. The lottery closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.
The lottery is available for children turning age 4 on or before Dec. 1, 2024.
